Freedom Partners Action Fund (FPAF) recently announced its endorsement of candidate Ron DeSantis to serve as Florida’s next governor, citing his strong leadership in Congress on issues including economic growth, health care reforms, and education initiatives. FPAF will announce additional activity in support of DeSantis’ campaign next week.
Take a look at what they are saying about FPAF’s endorsement of DeSantis.
“Rep. Ron DeSantis got another momentum boost Tuesday when Freedom Partners Action Fund, a Koch Brothers-backed group, endorsed the GOP congressman… ‘That’s the trigger for national money,’ one veteran Florida GOP consultant said of the endorsement. The reaction was similar among many in Florida’s political class after the Koch-backed group announced the DeSantis endorsement.” (Politico, 7/11/18)
“The Freedom Partners Action Fund, a Washington-based super PAC, announced the endorsement in a press release which cited DeSantis’s Congressional record and his military service as a Navy JAG officer. The PAC has more than $12 million on hand, according to Federal Election Commission data, and it pledged to boost DeSantis through targeted mailers and digital ads in Florida.” (Tampa Bay Times, 7/10/18)
“FPAF praised DeSantis’ record including his ‘strong leadership in Congress on important issues, including economic growth, health care reforms, and education initiatives.’ … FPAF intends to support DeSantis with a targeted mail and digital campaign. This is not the first time, FPAF has been involved in Florida. After launching in 2014, FPAF was active in the Sunshine State two years later, helping U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. to a second term as he held off a challenge from then U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla.” (Sunshine State News, 7/10/18)
“A political action committee backed by Charles Koch – Freedom Partners Action Fund – has endorsed Ron DeSantis in the Republican Primary for governor. This is a significant endorsement for DeSantis because the group intends to back the Congressman with digital ads and targeting mail.” (FLA News, 7/11/18)
“Koch-backed Freedom Partners Action Fund endorses DeSantis for Florida Governor. That race potentially just got a lot more expensive…” (Phil Elliot, 7/10/18)
